We have access to a very modern 2WD Axle-Hub Dynamometer from Dynomite on
hand. This Dynamometer has no rollers like most others do
instead it connects directly
to the axle-hub and not to the wheels. Therefore 100 % power transfer is achieved and
traction problems especially with stronger vehicles are a thing of the past. Also noise
generation is significantly lower because there is no rolling noise of the wheels. This of
course helps during diagnostic and tuning work since the motor is much more audible!

No more tying and strapping down the car is necessary! The vehicle cannot run out of
track or “jump” of the rollers which increases safety. With this Dynamometer it is possible
to measure more than 1200 HP and more than 1200 NM. Besides engine performance and
torque also lambda (fuel mixture) and boost pressure can be recorded.

ATTENTION! In order to flange your car to the Dynamometer we have to take off
the wheels. If wheel locks or lug nuts are installed please remember to bring the key or
adapter! The Dynamometer is located at ECU-Performance our partner company in
     Leopoldsdorf nearby Vienna.

Thanks to our partnership with ECU-Performance we are also able to offer tuning and
mapping. Besides our own engine control units ProECU and ProECU-K we are also able tune
AEM, DTA fast, Emerald, KMS, Haltech, Hondata, MBE, Megasqirt, Motec and much more.

     What happens whilst Tuning?
We program parameters like fuel injection, ignition advance, camshaft angle, etc. on optimal
values. The Rev-Limiter is set on the basis of the motor and its built-in components as well
on its power delivery. The same applies to the variable valve timing (such as Honda VTEC),
here the engines performance curve is the basis for determining the ideal x-over point.

It is absolutely necessary to make an appointment! We also require various technical data
before the appointment which will be questioned by us during appointment scheduling.

In order for us to perform tuning work the engine has to be running and the drive train has
to be functional. If the engine has known problems, is not running at all or any kind of work
has to be done at the test bench (e.g. swapping fuel injectors) please let us know before
and so we can plan accordingly.

ATTENTION! If not already present it is necessary to install a wideband lambda sensor
during the tuning session. This sensor has to be installed into the exhaust system in front
of the catalyst converter. Please check before your appointment if it's possible to unscrew
the present sensor or if a second lambda thread is available. If this is not the case it is
necessary to install an additional lambda thread in front of the catalyst converter before
     the appointment!

In case of a newly built engine which hasn't run before we are able to break it in on the
dyno. Please tell us beforehand! The car has to be fueled up with fresh fuel not older
than one month of the same kind of fuel that's going to be used later on. Once the tuning
is done no inferior quality fuel than applied during the tuning process must be used. For
example tuning with 100 octane fuel to get maximum performance during the tuning
process and later using 95 octane fuel to save money is not reasonable. The ignition
timing is adjusted considering the appropriate fuel. Using inferior quality fuel can damage
     the engine.

The engine has to be dry! If there are any oil leakages in the engine or gear box please let
us know beforehand or even better fix it before the appointment. Is the oil level and quality
right? Please check before the appointment! Is the cooling system filled and vented? If not,
please do so prior to appointment. If this is not possible for you please let us know before
and so we can plan accordingly. Please install new spark plugs matching the engines setup
and performance or bring a second set.

Tip: Fuel pumps of many stock vehicles where aging over the years and don’t perform
efficiently enough for some engine setups (especially for turbo retrofitting). Unfortunately
this is a very common problem! If there still is an original fuel pump installed consider
upgrading to a stronger pump. A similar statement could be made about fuel filters. In
what state is the filter, when was the last time it got replaced? And while on the subject
of filters, is the air filter clean? When was the last time it got washed or replaced? Are the
brakes dragging or is your drive axle operating heavy? This leads to distorted measurements.
Please be sure to check and fix this if necessary before your appointment. If this is not
possible we are also able to dismantle the brake calipers on the dyno.

Prices that have been agreed upon during appointment scheduling, apply solely to the tuning
work. Should any kind of unsuspected repairs or service work be necessary during the tuning
process they will be charged according to the notice displayed in the dyno room.
